In the midst of countless family gatherings around Christmas it's hard to find a time to experience that perfect, intimate family moment (just Daddy, Mommy, and Lyla). While it's great to be surrounded by our family, when growing up I always loved being with my sisters, Mom, and Dad while opening gifts that Santa had brought us. So, since Lyla was such an angel all year, Santa decided to visit Lyla's house a whole week and a half early. He also knew that her Daddy was working in New Jersey for the entire week and when he returned home, a marathon of visiting family began.
Lyla really enjoyed most things Christmas this year. Whenever she saw Santa, she would say, "ho,ho,ho", but to sit on his lap is a different story. She was not having it. I'm still waiting on those pictures, btw (you know who you are ; ) ). Her favorite thing was unwrapping gifts. There was no waiting her turn. She had to unwrap the gift as soon as possible and then the next.
Here we are at Lyla's 2nd Christmas at home:
Running down the hallway to see what all the fuss was about:
She immediately started looking through the cabinets. I think Santa did good.
These three pictures were over a matter of 10 seconds probably.
Checking stockings
This child loves Skittles. Matt couldn't deny her if he wanted to.
